Ginebra

Written by NoTube Team | Apr 10, 2026 2:10:50 PM

Ginebra, aged 9, has been ‘tube-free’ for almost five years. Today, this chapter was finally brought to an end with the help of an operation. After a great deal of patience and hard work, she is now a happy girl who enjoys eating.

Ginebra is a 9-year-old girl from Andorra. Due to an undiagnosed infection, repeated vomiting several times a day and other medical conditions, she was being fed via a button. In May 2021, she took part in the tube weaning programme. During the online treatment session of the Netcoaching programme, an analysis of the vomit was recommended. This led to the discovery of an infection that had significantly and negatively impacted her ability to eat for five years. After many examinations, trips and years, this chapter could now be closed. Her button was removed six months ago, leaving behind a fistula. This fistula has now been surgically closed. Ginebra has been able to gradually increase her interest in eating and her food intake. Today, she and her family can enjoy meals together. Her parents and the entire NoTube team are very proud of her progress!

Tell us about your experience with your child’s mealtime situation (with or without a feeding tube). What was it like before, during, and after treatment? How did you feel during the program? What was difficult; what was easy? What kind of changes did you notice in your child? Share what is important to you with other parents…:

Since we first met in May 2021 – a post-Covid May, a very special May – our lives have changed. And we can only express our most, most, most heartfelt thanks to you. Even though it may seem as though it took us longer than expected, that is not the case. Thanks to our visit to NoTube, our daughter – after years of dramatic diagnoses – found relief through a single video that we sent to you as soon as we returned home. You solved the biggest problem she had been struggling with since birth: she was vomiting 6–7 times a day, and nobody knew why. After all the hospitals and doctors, you watched that simple video of her ‘vomiting’ and told us: ‘Analyse this vomit.’ We did what no one had tested before, and it revealed a severe infection that had been able to ‘run rampant’ during the first five years of her life. And today, after many long and international journeys, we have finally reached the end.

Today, we don’t know what path life will take – whether we will move forward slowly and steadily or quickly and decisively. At almost nine years old, she has the weight and height of a four-year-old and shows developmental delays in many areas, but what we do know is that our daughter has been HAPPY over the last four years – happy because we were able to help her overcome her terrible symptoms. We have worked tirelessly on this, and seven months ago the infection finally cleared up. And today we have closed the remaining fistula. We have wanted to write this for quite some time, and only today did I have the strength to do so. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for believing in your method, for continuing to work and for helping. Today we have a happy child who enjoys eating.
